I’ve been bouncing between creative themes for client projects lately, and Zeyna keeps landing on my shortlist. It’s one of those themes that claims to do everything—portfolio, agency, blog, shop—and actually delivers without feeling like a bloated mess.
What’s Zeyna actually good for?
Think of it as a creative Swiss Army knife. The demo library is stacked with layouts that don’t look like carbon copies of each other. Need a minimalist portfolio? Done. Building an agency site with video backgrounds? Covered. It runs on WPBakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer), so you’re not locked into Gutenberg’s quirks if you hate the block editor like I do.
Getting your hands on it
No free version exists—this is premium-only via ThemeForest. Standard process:
- Head to ThemeForest and search “Zeyna – Multi-Purpose Creative WordPress Theme”
- Drop 59fortheregularlicense(pricebumpsto69 for the “extended” version if you’re planning to charge end users, but nobody does that)
- Grab the full ZIP from your downloads dashboard
Make sure you extract the main theme file—ThemeForest zips everything together. You’ll see a folder called “zeyna-theme-installable” or similar; that’s what you upload to WordPress.
License stuff that matters
One regular license = one public-facing website. Building locally? That’s fine, your localhost install doesn’t count. But if you push that same build to a live domain and also keep a staging version on a subdomain, you’re technically supposed to grab a second license. Real talk: most developers don’t for staging, but Envato can theoretically flag it.
The $59 gets you:
- Lifetime updates (rare these days)
- 6 months of support from QuanticaLabs (the author)
- $17.63 to extend support to 12 months
If you’re using this for a client, just have them purchase it under their account. Less headache when they want support directly.
Install reality check
Upload the theme, install the required plugins (WPBakery, Revolution Slider, Contact Form 7), then import the demo data. Takes 20 minutes tops. The demo importer is solid—doesn’t break like some themes that half-import and leave you with a skeleton site.
Bottom line?
Zeyna’s a workhorse for creative projects where you need flexibility without learning a whole new page builder ecosystem. It’s not the lightest theme out there, but the code quality’s decent and the design options save you from building every section from scratch. Worth the cash if you’re tired of Elementor’s ecosystem tax.
